Meet Araceli

Entrepreneur, scholarship expert,

and motivational speaker.

My personal story of navigating the collegiate space as a First-Generation Latina student has greatly influenced the foundation and approach to my work. I bring over 10 years of professional expertise in the areas of college access, student success, statewide issues, holistic community-based strategies, and financial aid & scholarships. I am passionate about advancing educational equity and economic justice for all students.

I am committed to removing barriers for underrepresented groups, including BIPOC, Undocumented, DACAmented, & First-Generation students, in higher education. I help organizations empower students through an asset-based model that recognizes the wealth of skills and experiences historically marginalized students contribute to post-secondary institutions. I use my bilingual and bicultural gifts to develop culturally specific strategies to bolster students’ success and family engagement in post-secondary institutions. I lead with empathy and humility & recognize students as experts of their own lived experience.

In my free time, I like to spend time with my niece and nephew. I love traveling and exploring different parts of the world with my husband. Of course, I love a good cup of cafe con leche.
